Whether you’re in your boat or in your cottage, your comfort is important to us, so we’ve taken that extra step to provide you with the assurance that you will be well taken care of. With over 60 years of service on this very Island, we have made many changes over the years. If you aren’t comfortable, neither are we!.
Cottages are new, west facing and on the lakefront. Two separate bedrooms, large living and dining areas, fully equipped kitchen and 3 piece bath make it an enjoyable atmosphere for friends to gather and reminisce.
Each cottage has it’s own gas grill, picnic table, large screened sunset room and exterior deck. To ensure everyone’s safety, all cottages have a direct vented or CO equipped fridge and gas heater. A propane heater provides a safe clean stay and eliminates the concerns for those with wood burning allergies.
All bed linens, pillows, dishes, pots and pans, cutlery and kettle are supplied. Cottages are all insulated and equipped with box fans to add a little more comfort to those hot summer days.
We take pride in our facilities to make your vacation the best it can be. Our cottages are second to none on Lady Evelyn Lake. Click on any of the links below the cottage photos to view more pictures of what you will experience inside.
Enjoy all the comforts of home away from home. You will be very comfortable and cozy in our cottages. We look forward to being able to provide you with the ultimate remote fishing experience in North Eastern Ontario, our little island paradise.
Don’t forget to check out our guest lounge, on the top floor of our Marine House. We call it “Charlie’s Den” named after Charlie Wheeldon the founder of Ellen Island Camp back in 1945. If you are feeling like a change of pace or maybe a place to retreat to on those not so nice days, we have a bumper pool table, darts, board games, a library of books, and a satellite flat screen TV for those who need to catch up on the news or maybe watch their favourite show. We also have access to WiFi and Cell Service.

I got home last night from a week long trip to Ellen Island Camp with 3 friends. From the moment I met Jeff at the pick up point, I was impressed with his professionalism, friendly demeanor, and his desire to give us the best experience he could. We love to provide our own meals, so we were right at home. Our cabin was clean, roomy and well stocked. The young men that he has working for him launching boats, docking boats, cleaning fish, and looking after all of your needs, are hard working, friendly, and are willing to share in good hearted banter. The boats have quality motors, seats, and are perfect for two people, three if they are well organized in their fishing together. I have nothing but positive things to say about Jeff, his wife Jane, his staff, and his camp. I can't wait to go back, I wish I could go back this year. Stop looking, this the place to be. More
